Supreme Court Suspends Oral Examination Of Agbesi Woyome

The Supreme Court has suspended the oral examination of Businessman, Alfred Agbesi Woyome by a former Attorney General, Martin Lamisi Amidu until a review of the earlier decision by the court. 

The court last month granted Mr. Amidu permission to cross examine Mr. Woyome in a bid to retrieve the 51 million cedis judgement debt paid to him. 

But Mr. Woyome is challenging that decision and has filed for a review.

He also filed an application for stay of proceedings which has been granted by Justice Anin Yeboah who is sitting as the sole judge in the case. 

Justice Anin Yeboah granting the application said it will not occasion any injustice. 
Before the application was moved by counsel for Mr Woyome, Mr Amidu raised preliminary legal objection a supplementary affidavit filed by the lawyer.
 
Mr. Amidu accused the lawyer, Ken Anku of not seeking the court's permission before filing the affidavit. 

He also accused Mr. Anku of not showing courtesy to the court. 

Mr. Amidu also complained of being short served with that supplementary affidavit. 
Hearing of the motion praying the court to reverse its decision has been adjourned to the  15th of this month.
