Akufo Addo promises new district for Berekum if elected

The Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, (NPP) Nana Akufo Addo has promised to create a new district in Berekum if voted into power. 

He has also assured the people of a district hospital and assist customers of the micro finance scam. 

Nana Addo was speaking when he took his tour of the Bono-Ahafo to the Berekum East, West and Jaman South constituencies. 

The DKM, God is love and Justa motors micro finance scam continue to dominate political discussion in the Brong Ahafo region. 

Hundreds of the aggrieved customers who lost millions of cedis in the big financial scandal in the Bono-Ahafo Region joined the NPP rallies in Jinijini, Japekrom, Drobo Dwenim to listen to Nana Addo. 

He said if after the election the current government has done nothing about the scam his government will look into it.  

At Berekum it was revealed that the College of Education has been without light for some time now. 

This is as a result of disconnection for the non-payment of bills which runs into thousands of Cedis. 

Some students of the College appealed to Nana Addo to help them settle the bill. 

Nana promised to have the matter resolved by Monday. 

He retreated the Party’s position to scrap the payment of utilities by students and also restore the nursing and teacher trainee allowances.
      
Nana Akufo Addo will end his four day campaign tour of the Bono-Ahafo today with rallies at Yeji, Atebubu and Abaaase in the Pru East and Atebubu Amanteng constituencies.
