Lawyer for PNC Flagbearer petition's EC over Disqualification of Client The disqualified Presidential Candidate of the People's National Convention, PNC, Dr Edward Mahama has petition the Electoral Commission, EC, to reinstate him "within 48 hours" upon the receipt of the petition to enable him contest the December election. In a 30 bullet point petition to the Electoral Commission, lawyer for Dr Mahama, Dr Raymond Atuguba observed that he and his client came to the conclusion that the grounds for disqualifying Dr. Mahama' nomination, were unjustifiable. According Dr. Atuguba, the first ground that Dr Mahama's nomination form was signed by individuals who also endorsed the flagbearer of the All People's Congress, APC, and Dr Hassan Ayariga is unfair. This is because Dr Mahama can only speak to the authenticity of the signatures on his form and not the forms of others. The petition notes that the marks and signatures on Dr Edward Mahama`s forms are the only authentic marks and signatures of the two persons and no other person. It maintains that the two individuals whose signatures are in issue are known members of the PNC who have remained loyal and committed to the party. GBC
