Journalists and media houses that violate the electoral laws will face consequences-EC

The Electoral Commission has sent a strong signal that Journalists and Media Houses that will violate the electoral laws in this year’s elections will be made to face the consequences.

Upper West Regional Director of the Commission Azu Bosco Anyigire said media Houses, particularly those who will announce election results ahead of the Commission will be handed over to the police for prosecution. 

Mr Anyigire was speaking at a day’s training for media practitioners on C I 94 at Wa in the Upper West Region.
