NDPC honors Ghanaian designer of American museum The National Development Planning Commission NDPC has honoured the renowned Ghanaian Architect, David Adjaye who designed the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, DC. The Museum which was inaugurated by the US President, Barack Obama recently is to remind African-Americans and Africans across the globe of their rich heritage. Presenting the Award to Mr. Adjaye at a brief ceremony at Archi-Afrika a Design and Architectural Gallery at James Town, the Chairman of the NDPC Professor Kwesi Botchwey said Mr. Adjaye has shown the World the inherent creativity in the Ghanaian. He stated that the feat chalked-up by the Architect coincides with the Commission’s efforts at crafting a 40 Year National Development Plan. Architect David Adjaye thanked the National Development Planning Commission for the honour. The museum tells the story of black Americans’ lives from slavery to the present day. GBC
