Filing Of Presidential And Parliamentary Nominations Ends Filling of presidential and parliamentary nominations came to an end at the close of day on Friday September 30, 2016. The People’s National Convention PNC, and the Convention People’s Party CPP were at the premises of the EC to present their presidential nomination forms to the Commission. The flagbearer of the PNC, Dr. Edward Mahama, presented his forms in the company of his party chairman, Bernard Mornah. However, photographs of Dr. Mahama were missing in the filing forms. He was then asked to furnish the commission with the photographs before close of day. The presidential candidate of the CPP, Ivor Kobina Greenstreet was accompanied by his running mate, Gabby Nketia and party chairman, Professor Edmund Delle. This brings to 15 the total number of political parties and independent candidates who are likely to find their names on the ballot box on December 7, 2016. Other presidential aspirants who filed on Friday were Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), WO1 Richard Nixson Tetteh (retired) of the Unity Development System Party (UDSP), Dr. Henry Lartey of the Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP).
