Filing Of Presidential And Parliamentary Nominations Ends


The Convention People’s Party CPP and the People’s National Convention PNC, have presented their presidential nomination forms to the Electoral Commission.   

CPP’s flagbearer Ivor Greenstreet was accompanied by his running mate, Gabby Nketia and party chairman, Professor Edmund Delle. 

The flagbearer of the PNC, Edward Mahama, also presented his forms in the company of his party chairman, Bernard Mornah.

This brings to 15 the total number of political parties and independent candidates who are likely to find their names on the ballot box on December 7, 2016.

Edward Mahama, flagbearer of the PNC, also presented his forms in the company of his party chairman, Bernard Mornah. 

However, photographs of Mr. Mahama were missing in the filing forms. 

He was asked to furnish the commission with the pictures before close of day. 

Meanwhile, filling of nomination came to a close at the end of day on Friday September 30, 2016.
