US To Invest $50M In Niger Drone Base

The US is investing at least 50 million dollars in a military air base in Niger that will be capable of deploying drones.
 
The new facility, in the central city of Agadez, will give Washington greater ability to use drones against Islamist extremists in neighboring countries like Libya, Mali and Nigeria.

The move is described as the most important US infrastructure in Africa.
