Concerns raised over dependence on oil sector The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana, Professor Ebenezer Oduro Owusu has cautioned against over dependence on the oil sector for revenue. He instead, called for prioritisation of the traditional sector such as gold, timber, cocoa and other crops to increase revenue, create jobs and make the economy self-reliant. Professor Oduro Owusu said this when he launched the state of the Ghanaian economy by ISSER, which revealed that Ghana`s non-oil GDP outpaced that of total GDP growth for the first time since 2011. George Asekere reports that this year's special chapter on the report focused on the state of Education in Ghana. GBC
