Minority Caucus describes NDC's road sector performance poor The Minority Caucus in Parliament has described government’s performance in the Road Sector as poor and abysmal. According to the Minority group the Road Sector has not witnessed any significant quantitative and qualitative improvement since 2008. At News Conference in Parliament on Thursday, September 22, 2016, the NPP Minority entreated government to take steps to correct issues such as lack of maintenance on roads, non-payment to contractors, sole sourcing of contracts and ensure value for money in the construction of roads in the Country. The Ranking Member on Roads and Transport Committee of Parliament Kwabena Owusu-Aduomi addressed the News Conference dubbed the True State of the Nation’s Road Network. Mr. Kwabena Owusu-Aduomi who is also the Head of the Committee on Roads that worked on the NPP’s 2016 Manifesto urged government to clean up the ills in the road sector and be truthful in accounting to the people on the roads.
