Eastern Region: Donkorkrom police robbers ill An Accra District Court has adjourned to the 3rd of next month, the case involving the two police officers who allegedly attacked a bullion van and killed its driver. The adjournment was at the request of the prosecutor, Superintendent Francis Baah who said they have received two reports and need time to go through properly. He also told the court that the two policemen involved in the robbery have both reported ill. In view of this, the court ordered the prosecution to send them to the hospital for treatment. The policemen, Corporal Solomon Elvis Mensah and Corporal Daniel Kissi Abrokwah armed with AK47 rifles, allegedly attacked the bullion van belonging to the GCB Bank at Mame-Krobo near Tease in the Eastern Region. In the process, they shot and killed the driver and also wounded another policeman on board the vehicle. The van usually supplied money to GCB Bank at Donkorkrom. They have been charged with conspiracy, attempted robbery and murder. GBC
