Ben Ephson: Electorate cast votes not on party manifesto

Pollster and Editor of the Dispatch Newspaper, Ben Ephson, has added his voice to the debate on the relevance of manifestoes in elections.  

According to Mr Ephson, political parties are very much aware that the broad masses of the electorate cast their votes not on a party manifesto.  

Speaking on the GBC’s Uniiq Breakfast Drive, he said the electorate will vote for a candidate based on party affiliation, verbal promises, candidates appeal and other considerations.
