Economist says reducing inflation, interest rate in short term will be uphill task

The Head of the Economics Department at the University of Ghana, Professor Peter Quartey, says reducing inflation and interest rate in the short term will be an uphill task. 

Speaking to Radio Ghana following the swearing in of the Board of Directors of the Bank of Ghana with a call on them to work to reduce interest rate and inflation, Professor Quartey, said with proper planning and effective collaboration with the Ministry of Finance the goal can be achieved.
