Asunafo South Aspiring NPP MP denies retaliation reports The NPP Aspiring MP for Asunafo South Constituency of the Bono Ahafo Region, George Boakye has denied media reports that he called on his supporters to retaliate if the spate of attacks on his members does not stop. His alleged comment is reported to have come in reaction to violent clashes between NPP and NDC supporters in the constituency during the voters transfer exercise. Renewed bloody clashes over the weekend, which left some people injured, have led to the suspension of the exercise by the Electoral Commission in that area. Mr Boakye said he has contacted the appropriate quarters to help restore order and unity in the constituency. He said he is still talking to his supporters to be calm, saying that the rumours of inciting his people against any other party are unfounded. The Deputy Director of Communications of the Electoral Communication, Yussif Ayuba said a report has been made to the Commission and that they will assess it and replaces every damaged equipment if a new one is made available to them.
