Over 4,000 teachers in Accra presented with laptops More than four thousand Teachers in the Greater Accra Region have been presented with Laptop Computers to facilitate Teaching and Learning of ICT in schools. The presentation was done by Deputy Minister of Education in charge of Pre-tertiary, Alex Kyeremeh and witnessed by his colleague Deputy in charge of tertiary education Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa. It forms part of government's intervention to enhance quality and outcome of ICT, Science and Mathematics training in the education sector. According to the Director of ICT at the Ministry of Education, Francis Avugbey the beneficiary teachers were trained to make maximum use of the laptops in preparing lesson notes and practical teaching. Mr. Avugbey advised the beneficiary teachers to leave the laptops computers at the various schools in case of transfer or re-posting. This will ensure that the new teachers who take over from them can use them, to sustain ICT programmes in the schools. GBC
