Public sector workers to enjoy 12.5% base pay rise from January 2017

Public sector workers are to enjoy a 12.5% pay rise.
 
According to a communiqué sighted by Radio Ghana which was signed by the Chief Executive of the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission, George Smith Graham and Secretary General of the TUC - Dr Yaw Baah, the pay rise will take effect from January, next year.
  
The communique, sighted by Radio Ghana said the decision was taken at a Public Sector Joint Negotiation Committee meeting which concluded discussions on the base pay increment.
