Karaga NPP Parliamentary candidate resigns

The NPP parliamentary candidate for the Karaga constituency in the Northern region for the 2016 elections Shaharawi Bashiru has stepped down due to ill health.

Mr Shaharawi withdrew from the race after his doctors declared him unfit for the contest. 

According to sources, the candidate was advised to resign to undergo intensive treatment following a fatal accident involving other persons last year. 

The Northern Regional Communicator of the NPP, Mohammed Abdul Kudus confirmed this to Radio Ghana.
