AU mission postpones mediation trip to Gabon 

African Union mission has postponed a meeting to Gabon to mediate between President Ali Bongo and Jean Ping.

The meeting was scheduled for tomorrow (September 8). 

Gabon's Foreign Minister, Emmanuel Ngondet who made this known said Chad's President Idriss Deby has demanded more time to consult with members of the mission including President Macky Sall of Senegal and Denis Sassou Nguesso of the Republic of Congo before making a move. 

No new date has been given.
