MiDA selects 6 companies for ECG takeover

The Millennium Development Authority, MiDA, has shortlisted 6 private companies to compete for the take over of the Electricity Company of Ghana, ECG. 

All 6-companies are expected to submit a proposal on how to manage the ECG to MiDA. 

Out of the six, one would eventually be selected to manage the assets and operations of the ECG for the next 25-years. 

In an interview with GBC24 the Director for Communication and Outreach at MiDA Parmela Djamson-Tettey, said apart from the over 400-million dollar grant from the Millennium Challenge Authority for the Power Compact, the concessionaire is expected to invest at least 100 million dollars annually to improve operations of the ECG.
