Ace Investigative Journalist Anas Crowned Journalist 0f The Year 2015

Ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas was on Saturday adjudged the overall best journalist of the year 2015 at the 21st Ghana Journalist Awards (GJA).

This is the second time in ten years that the ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas of Tiger Eye PI  has won the award. 

The coveted award which includes a Hyundai SUV, sponsored by Ideal Finance, was for his exposé on judicial corruption in the country last year. 

The exposé  captured 34 judges on video who allegedly took bribes and were compromised in their ruling.

Out of the 34 judges indicted, 26 of them have so far been sacked after they were found guilty of the charges levelled against them.

Anas took home a brand new Hyundai SUV as his prize.

The theme for the awards ceremony was “Media for Undisputed and Peaceful 2016 Election: The Support of Civil Society.” Over 20 awards were given to journalists in various categories.

Dr. Nii Kotei Special Award for Best Financial Reporter went to Elvis Darko of the Finder newspaper. He also drove away the second Hyndai SUV car also donated by Ideal Finance.
