26th August, 2016 The Ghanaian Times raises concerns about the three day demonstration by the Public Utility Workers Union to compel government to back down on the proposed concession programme for ECG. According to the paper, the demonstration affected customers of ECG, as it disrupted the company's operations. The paper disapproves of the method they are using to get their message to the government. It hopes the workers rather engage the government to dialogue on the issues. While calling on the government to meet the workers as soon as possible the Times is also appealing to the workers to resume work. GBC
