Births and Deaths Registry receives support The Births and Deaths Registry has taken delivery of two hundred desk and laptop computers with accessories to help it provide efficient services. The items worth more than GH¢400,000.00 were provided by the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communication, GIFEC. The Registry is expected to compute its information electronically. At a ceremony in Accra, GIFEC also presented 160 desktop computers estimated at more than GH¢700,000 to some community information centres. The Administrator of GIFEC, Kobby Acheampong, said the items will enhance the work of the beneficiary institutions. A Registrar at the Births and Deaths Registry, John Yaw Agbeko, said the equipment will help them extend their services across the country. GBC
