2016 Hajj: 2000 pilgrims airlifted from Tamale Airport The 2016 Hajj Committee says so far two thousand pilgrims have been airlifted to Madina from Tamale International Airport. An additional 3 thousand five hundred pilgrims are expected to join their colleagues in Madina tomorrow from Accra. In an interview with GBC’s Radio Ghana, the spokesperson for the Committee, Alhaji Alhassan Suhyini, said the Committee is done with pilgrims in the North. According to him, the process has been smooth and those who took off have arrived safely in Madina. He is hopeful that the committee will be able to meet its target of airlifting five thousand six hundred pilgrims to Madina this year. GBC
