Possession Of Unlicensed Weapon Is First Degree Felony - Small Arms Commission The Executive Director of the Commission on Small Arms and Light Weapons, Jones Aplerh, says the weapons Amnesty which began August 22 is not an arms recovery or collection exercise. In an interview with Radio Ghana, Mr Aplerh said it is an exercise to register unlicensed or unregistered and illegal weapons in the country. He mentioned that some Police stations have been selected as Centres for the exercise. Mr Aplerh indicated that the possession of illegal, unregistered or unlicensed weapons is a first degree felony offence which attracts ten years imprisonment. GBC
