GES rejects claims of poor WASSCE results The Ghana Education Service says the performance of students in this year's West Africa Senior Secondary Certificate Examination, WASSCE is better than those of previous years in terms of the percentage of those who qualify to the tertiary institutions. Reacting to some public perception that students performed poorly, the Northern Regional Director of Education, Alhaji Mohammed Haroon, said assessing the decline in performance of students from 2012 to 2015, there has been an upward improvement of 29 percent this year. He said, some people are just tagging the WASSCE result as poor where as that is not the true picture. GBC
