Nigerian man arrested for naming pet ‘Buhari’ A Nigeria man Joe Chinakwe who has been accused of naming his dog after President Buhari, is to be put before a magistrate court today. Mr Chinakwe spent three days in Police cells last week before being released on bail. Mr Chinakwe in an interview said he named his dog after the president because of the love he has for the Nigerian President and not out of spite. He was re-arrested last Friday. Analysts say his charge could be a count related to the breach of peace. Chinakwe’s arrest has caused a lot of reaction on social media. BBC
