Labour Expert advocates establishment of strike fund to pay illegal striking workers

A Labour Consultant, Ben Arthur, has called for the establishment of a Strike Fund which will be used to pay workers who go on illegal strike. 

He suggests such a fund be funded by Labour Unions. 

Mr Arthur told Radio Ghana that since 2004, CLOGSAG alone has embarked on nine different strikes which have been at a cost to the State. 

He said the decision as to pay or not to pay CLOGSAG members this month entirely rests with government.
