Lawyer 'condemns' Obimin for whipping fornicating church members

A Human Rights Lawyer, Francis Xavier Sosu , has condemned in no uncertain terms the action by the  Leader of  God's Way International Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim for whipping two of his church members for fornicating. 

Mr Sosu in an interview with GBC’s Cecil Obodai  Wentum said Bishop Obinim has violated the constitution and must not go unpunished, adding that failure to do so will be a wrong precedent for the country.

On the way forward, Mr. Sosu  said it may be difficult to pursue the case looking at the relationship between the pastor and the victims. 

He however, said with the expertise of the Criminal Investigations Department, enough evidence could be gathered to subject the Bishop to the criminal laws of the land.
