Election Management Bodies urged to share electoral practices

Election Management Bodies in Africa have been urged to share and emulate good electoral practices to enhance democratic governance on the continent. 

This will also engender improved political and economic stability for the desired accelerated development of Africa.  

Speaking at the 5th Maendeleo Policy Forum in Accra, President of the Association of African Election Authorities and EC chairperson, Charlotte Osei acknowledged that Africa is doing well with its democratic experiments regardless of the myriad of challenges. 

She called for stronger Election Management Bodies in Africa which conform to laws that regulate them.
