La General Hospital gets Ultra Sound Scan machine 

The Lordina Foundation has donated an Ultra Sound Scanner to the La General Hospital in Accra. 

The equipment will among other things help in obstetrics and to scan pregnancies before delivery. 

The hospital has had challenges with maternal and child mortality over the years. 

Speaking on behalf of the First Lady in Accra, the Minister of Health, Alex Segbefia said with the provision of the Ultra Sound Scan machine, pregnancies will be scanned at least three times to enable  clinicians to plan delivery ahead of time to reduce maternal deaths.
