Yendi experiences another armed robbery attack

Another armed robbery took place Monday night on the Yendi-Tamale road in the Northern Region. 

Speaking to Radio Ghana, a resident of Yendi, Alhassan Wemah, said they attacked and robbed passengers of their money and valuables. 

But for the timely intervention of the Police who were called in no casualties were recorded as the robbers absconded. 

Mr Wemah alleged that the spate of robberies in Yendi and surrounding areas has increased due to the absence of Police patrols in the area over claims of lack of fuel for their vehicles.
