Zim authorities condemn use of children as 'human shields' at protests Zimbabwean authorities have condemned the organisers of an "illegal" protest for allegedly using children as human shields. Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare Minister Prisca Mupfumira has threatened to take legal action against those “violating children’s rights” by coercing them to participate in marches. Media reports indicated that the children of pro-democracy activist, Itai Dzamara, joined their parents at the "Bring-Back-Dzamara" protests in Africa Unity Square Gardens. Scores of children offered rose flowers and queen cakes to police as a "show of love." SOURCE: NEWS24
