Ghana now 2nd best in Africa

Ghana is now the second best on the African continent, according the latest world ranking released by FIFA on Thursday.

The Black Stars moved up one place to 35th position in the latest FIFA/Coca Cola World ranking and have replaced Ivory Coast as second in Africa.

The senior national team however behind Algeria (1st) with AFCON holders Ivory Coast now (3rd) while Senegal and Egypt maintained their (4th and 5th) positions respectively in the top five on the continent.

In the Women category, Ghana has maintained its 46th position in the world and (2nd) best on the African continent, behind Nigeria (1st).
