The Ghanaian Times appeals to the relevant authorities to come out with the legislative instrument for the effective operationalisation of the disability friendly places law. The paper commends the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations for being the only Ministry which has complied with the transitional provisions, by providing an additional access road to the ministry for persons with disability. The Ghanaian Times believes it is high time people with disabilities were relieved of the stress encountered when accessing public places. The paper also calls for the National Council on Persons with Disabilities to be adequately resourced to carry out its mandate in order to give meaning to the law.

The Daily Heritage writes on the canker of abuse of incumbency by governing parties. The paper says such acts have plagued Ghana since 1992 when the nation accepted multi-party democracy. The Daily Heritage adds its voice to calls for the passage of the public funding of the political parties bill to reduce incumbency abuse and lower the political temperature during elections.
