Somalia to hold presidential election on Oct. 30

The Chief of Somalia's Electoral Commission, Omar Mohamed Abdulle, has announced that presidential election will be held on October 30.  

Mr. Abdulle says the presidential vote will be held after the selection of members of the upper and lower houses of parliament which will take place between September 24 and October 10.  

He said members of parliament will elect a new speaker on October 25.
