Ghanaians urged to partake in National Sanitation Day Ghanaians particularly, the people of Tema have been admonished to participate in the Sanitation Day cleanup exercise because there is evidence that it is achieving the desired result. The acting Head of the Tema Metropolis Environment Health Department, Joshua Addorteye, observed that Tema is yet to record any serious outbreak of Cholera this year. Mr Addorteye said this in an interview with GBC’s Radio Ghana, when the Tema Metropolitan Assembly organised a cleanup exercise for six electoral areas as part of the National Sanitation Day exercise in the Metropolis. He noted that patronage of the cleanup exercise will ensure the eradication of filth in the communities in the Tema Metropolis. SOURCE: euronews
