Reconsider decision to hand over T3 plant to Ameri - ACEP 

The Africa Center for Energy Policy, ACEP, is asking government to reconsider its decision to hand over the Takoradi Thermal Plant-3, or T3, to Ameri to repair and operate. 

The Energy Policy Think-Tank said this will affect the role of the Volta River Authority (VRA) in ensuring energy balance and will render the Authority redundant. 

This was contained in a statement signed by Executive Director, Mohammed Amin Adam. 

Workers of VRA are protesting this action and said, they do not understand why government without any consultation, will take a decision to cede those three important assets to a third party to manage.
