Hiplife musician Wisa to make deposit  in court for non appearance

An Accra Circuit Court has ordered hip-life artiste, Eugene Ashie popularly known as Wisa to make a security deposit of five thousand Ghana cedis after jumping bail on two occasions. 

The Presiding Judge, Abena Oppong Adjin-Doku said Wisa will lose the money to the state if he refuses to appear before the court again. 
The court issued a bench warrant for Wisa's arrest after he failed to appear before the court last May for trial. 

He is before the court for allegedly exposing his manhood on stage during an entertainment show last December. He has been charged with gross indecent exposure. 

The prosecution prayed the court to remand Wisa into custody because he showed disrespect to the court or grant him a stiffer bail condition to deter him from jumping bail again. 

His lawyer, Jerry Avernogbor humbly pleaded with the court not to incancerate Wisa. 
According to the lawyer, the conduct of his client  was not deliberate as he was caught up in an unfortunate situation at that time. 

Mr. Avernogbor therefore prayed the court to rescind the bench warrant saying that he will ensure that such a situation does not reoccur.
