Fuel prices reduced by 5% The Chamber of Petroleum Consumers has reduced the price of fuel by five percent. The reduction is the first fuel window for the month of August under the National Petroleum Authority (NPA)’s deregulation pricing programme. In a statement Executive of the Chamber, said Prices on the world market have gone down by over 17 point 164 percent from previous levels. However, the prices are yet to reflect at the pumps. The Chamber has advised consumers to patronise the few oil marketing companies which have demonstrated price sensitivity. This, it said, is the only way those charging higher prices will begin to appreciate the need to give value for money in petroleum prices. GBC
