Police gun down three suspected robbers Three suspected armed robbers believed to be behind series of robberies and killings in the Ashanti Region have been shot dead. The suspects were shot and killed during an exchange of fire at Asuoyeboah near the SSNIT flats. The Ashanti Regional Police Command received information on the 21st of this month that four robbers had operated between the Obuasi and Jacobu road, killing a taxi driver who was conveying a sick Chinese man to a nearby hospital. Briefing the media today (July 26) in Kumasi, the Deputy Regional Police Commander, ACP Ampofo Duku, said police intelligence revealed that the suspects had relocated to Kumasi.
