GCPP roots for December 7 election date decision The Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP) says even though it disagrees with those who claim the EC is not ready to conduct the elections on November 7, the party fully supports the decision by Parliament to conduct this year's election in December. The GCPP says there is the need for things to be done properly so that no party will cry foul after the election. Speaking to GBC’s George Asekere in Accra, flagbearer of the GCPP, Dr. Henry Lartey, advised politicians to give the EC peace of mind to work. Meanwhile, the All Peoples Congress, APC, has expressed disappointment in Parliament for rejecting the EC's proposed Constitutional Amendment that would have allowed the elections to be held in November. The APC said it expects the State to make provision for political parties without representatives in Parliament, to make input in constitutional amendments that have to do with elections, in the future. Flagbearer of the APC, Hassan Ayariga told George Asekere that his party is prepared for the election. GBC
