Woyome files contempt suit against Kwaku Baako and 4 others Businessman, Alfred Agbesi Woyome has filed a contempt suit against Multimedia Group, Despite Group of Companies, Omni Media, the Deputy Communications Director of the NPP, Anthony Karbo and the Editor of the New Crusading Guide, Kwaku Baako at the Court of Appeal. His lawyer, David Annan, claims that the defendants discussed the issue of the 51 million cedis judgement debt paid to Mr Woyome on the airwaves at the time the case was pending in court. Meanwhile, Counsel for Anthony Karbo and Kwaku Baako, Egbert Fabille, has raised preliminary objection to the suit filed before the Court of Appeal. Mr Fabille submitted that Mr Woyome should have filed the contempt suit at the High Court before proceeding to the Court of Appeal. Lawyer for Despite Group of Companies, Thaddeus Sory, also argued that Mr Woyome cannot sue a company as an entity but its Directors. The suit had been adjourned to the 18th August where Mr Annan will respond to the objections raised by the defendants. GBC
