Weija flood victims receive relief items Relief has come to victims of the recent flood disaster at Weija, Gbawe and their surroundings in the Ga South Municipality. This follows the donation of items worth $20,000 by the Salvation Army, Ghana Territory. Donating the items on behalf of the Territorial Commander, Col Joseph Lukau, Lt. Col. Samuel Kyeremeh said they are touched by the plight of the victims. Receiving the items on behalf of the victims, the Acting Coordinating Director of the Ga South Municipal Assembly, Francis Abofra expressed his gratitude to the Salvation Army. The items which include bags of rice and cooking oil were donated to about 500 households. One of the recipients recounted their ordeal when the disaster struck and thanked the donors for the gesture. GBC
