The Daily Graphic calls on all stakeholders, including traditional authorities, to come on board to help the EC come up with the finalised, clean and credible voters register, as well as meet the rest of its plans towards Election 2016. According to the paper, it agrees with the sentiment of the EC Chairperson that, the process could be enhanced if registered voters did not wait till the last moment to rush to the centres to check their details. The Graphic said while we call on all eligible voters to hurry to the centres, it is important for the EC to step up its public educational campaigns that will convince voters to respond to the call to check their names or re-register.

The Ghanaian Times sympathises with the IGP in his effort of managing public anxiety and maintaining peace before, during and after the November polls. The paper is mindful of the arduous task confronting the IGP and the security forces, but disagrees with the IGP that a ban on social media would prevent disorder. The Times says social media has become a social good for many other professions that a ban for an hour can be catastrophic. The Ghanaian Times believes that there are several ways to cure mischief and has urged the IGP to listen to the remedies that IT professionals are prescribing and the nation would overcome any hindrances.
