Ghana Actors Guild calls off by-election

A planned by-election by the Ghana Actors Guild to elect three executives into office has been called off upon the advice of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts and the Greater Accra Regional Police Command.  

According to the General Secretary of the Guild, Ziggy Netteyson, the move has become necessary as a petition has been filed against the election by some members who consider it as illegal.  

Mr. Netteyson said this at the office of MUSIGA where the election was to be held.
