IPP to institute ‘job fund’ to tackle unemployment 

The Independent People’s Party, IPP, has promised to set up a “Job Fund” to help tackle the nation’s challenges of unemployment if given the mandate to govern. 

The leader of the party, Kofi Akpaloo, said an IPP government will focus more on the energy sector and efforts at creating jobs to transform the lives of the people.  

Speaking to the GNA he said, his government will assist the unemployed with benefits as part of his social intervention policy.  

He said anybody below the age of 18 years and unemployed, will receive Fifty cedis a month while those over 18, will take one hundred cedis. 

The leader of IPP promised to also invest in sports development which he said, has the potential to generate jobs.  

In pursuit of this, he said five modern stadia would be built in the Brong-Ahafo, Eastern, Volta, Upper East and Upper West Regions.  

Mr Akpaloo encouraged the youth to engage in online businesses to help increase Ghana’s share of the global market.
