ECG Concedes Over Billing Of Consumers The Select Committee of Parliament on Mines and Energy has met with the Ministry of Power, Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) and Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) on the recent electricity billing challenges facing Ghanaians. After the closed door meeting, the Chairman of the Committee, Alhaji Amadu Sorogho told GBC's Radio Ghana that in finding a lasting solution to the problem, several other key stakeholders will have to be engaged. He said the ECG conceded that there is over billing of tariffs to consumers. The Ranking Member on the Committee, K.T. Hammond however said getting to the bottom of the issue seems to be a tall order since several questions have still not been answered. GBC
