Ghana to host 2016 Girl Guides seminar The Chief Commissioner of Ghana Girl Guides Association, Mrs Juliana Ofori-Kissi says Ghana has been selected to host the 2016 World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts Seminar. The International Seminar will be attended by one hundred participants from one hundred and 46 member countries. The one week Seminar will start on the 29th of this month. At a News Conference in Accra on monday, Mrs Ofori-Kissi appealed to the government, public institutions, NGO's and the diplomatic community to support them in hosting the event. She said the seminar will not only serve as an avenue to share and learn best practices, but will also market Ghana to the world. Mrs Ofori-Kissi commended the Ghana Police Service and the Department of Social welfare as well as the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection for rescuing children from the streets. GBC
