The Daily Graphic urges management of Metro Mass Transit Limited to conduct alcohol testing exercises throughout the year. The paper says drink-driving is one of the major causes of accidents on the roads. These road crashes hamper development because they take a toll on the human resource of the country, which is paramount in every facet of development. The Graphic implores Metro Mass Transport to intensively continue with the alcohol testing exercise saying even though this will come at a cost, no amount of money can replace human lives. 

The Ghanaian Times observes with concern the springing up of wooden kiosks and metal containers along major and minor roads in the Accra metropolis and other areas in the Greater Accra Region. The paper describes the act as worrisome saying this trend must be curtailed, properly regulated and not taken for granted. The Times says the structures are haphazardly sited adding that apart from the danger posed by these kiosks and containers, the aesthetic beauty of the areas are affected, since the structures are erected anyhow. The Times calls on the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development to step up efforts and bring order into the proliferation of these containers and kiosks.
