According to him, JUSAG has broken the labour law because they did not go through the necessary procedure to air their grievances. He said the Labour Ministry submitted a letter to JUSAG to discuss their grievances, but they refused to honour the invitation. Speaking on our news and current affairs programme “Behind the News”, Mr Jamal said the Ministry is putting measures in place to deal with the issues. Meanwhile, the National President of JUSAG, Alex Nartey says their strike is legal adding that, government has not taken the issue seriously. He said the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations has failed to abide by the rules of the National Labour Commission. According to Mr Nartey, JUSAG will rescind its decision if government will address issues pertaining to their salaries. GBC
